Raging rapids and fast flowing white water fed by the slopes of the Annapurna Himal makes the Marsyandi one of the most renowned short river trips in Nepal. Not only is the river a wild ride guaranteed to thrill even the most seasoned paddler, but coupled with the stunning scenery, backdropped by the snow-capped peaks of Annapurna and Manasulu and terraced rice fields, this is perhaps one of the more beautiful river trips in Nepal combining nature, culture, and unforgettable rapids.
Who’s it for?
This is one serious rafting or kayaking trip that is not for the faint of heart, the Marsyandi is truly a river that demands respect from those who choose to run it, be it in a raft or a kayak.

After breakfast, its time to head to the river. Listen to the in-depth safety briefing given by your guides, strap on your life jacket and grab a paddle. On the river, the first rapid we encounter is called ‘Instant Karma’ so let’s hope you have all been good in this life! The river continues and the rapids swell and surge downwards along the Annapurna Trekking Trail. We camp over night on the river banks next to Gurung villages. Relax and enjoy the serenity of driver side life in Nepal.
Just before the river reaches the Dam, we pull out and have lunch before stowing all the gear on the bus for the three-hour journey back to Kathmandu. Short but sweet; we are sure that you loved paddling this mighty mountain stream with the Ultimate Rivers Team.
