Tamur Expedition
A Magnificent whitewater expedition, one of the best in the World. The river flows along the beautiful and untouched valleys of the Eastern Nepal. One of the most scenic river routes offered by Nepal.
The Trishuli is the go-to river for travelers short on time but unwilling to miss out on Nepal’s classic whitewater experience. Flowing alongside the main highway to Chitwan and Pokhara, it offers the perfect mix of accessibility, thrill, and scenic beauty. Terraced hillsides, gorges, and warm waters make it as enjoyable for a half-day splash as it is for a longer overnight camp along sandy riverbanks. Its pool-drop style gives rafters time to relax between rapids, making it equally suitable for beginners and repeat adventurers.
Rafting starts in different places depending on the water level, but the best section is run from Chaurdy to Fishling with some awesome class rapids. In the high water you can even run this river down from Trisuli Bazaar found to the north of Kathmandu. There are some big and bouncy rapids that are challenging and fun but very safe. It's an ideal trip for families and first timers or those a bit nervous in white water. You can continue rafting down to Chitwan for a jungle safari.
Typical early morning starts with a bus journey of around three hours to the river. Our put-in point depends on the water level. On arrival at the river, we meet the guides, have lunch and get a full river safety briefing. After lunch we hit the river for some paddling warm up and fun. Enjoy some delicious lunch and head to , Pokhara, Chitwan or Bandipur or return to Kathmandu
The rush of the river doesn’t have to be the end of your adventure. After battling the rapids, extend your trip into the wild heart of Chitwan National Park. Find yourself gliding through grasslands on a jeep, spotting rhinos grazing and birds swooping above. The contrast of adrenaline on the river and serenity in the jungle makes the journey feel complete—an adventure that flowed seamlessly from water to wilderness.
